COMPUTING

Technology has, and will continue to change the lives of our school community and the world around them.  As such it is essential that, through the teaching of computing we equip our children to be able to confidently participate in a rapidly evolving world, where now more than ever work and leisure activities are being increasingly transformed by technology.

We want children to be able to find, explore, analyse, exchange and present information. We will focus on developing the skills necessary for children to be able to use information in an effective way.  Computing skills are a major factor in enabling children to be confident, creative and independent learners as well as effective and safe communicators and it is our intention that children have every opportunity available to allow them to achieve this.

Teachers will use technology to engage children in their learning and enhance their teaching across the curriculum. We will also ensure that children are knowledgeable about how to keep safe when online and how to be confident and respectful citizens in a digital world.
