Religious Education
Religious Education plays an important part in developing our children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural growth. Through the teaching of R.E. the children gain a better understanding of themselves and the world around them. We provide our children with opportunities for them to learn about and from religions and worldviews in local, national and global contexts, to discover, explore and consider different answers to these questions.
As well as developing factual knowledge of a variety of religions, R.E. also encourages students to ask questions about life, develop self-reflection and promotes attitudes of self-belief and thoughtfulness about themselves. We aspire to help the children to develop the ability to respect others, make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral issues that they may encounter during their life.
We follow the Diocese of Lincoln agreed local syllabus.
