GEOGRAPHY

Geography encompasses the understanding of the world in which we live; the diversity of life, the complexity of nature and the sustainability of our Earth. At Brigg Primary School, children are encouraged to develop a greater understanding, knowledge and respect of our world. 

As an investigative curriculum, geography allows children to open their minds to the curiosity and fascination of life around them. Thus fostering an innate determination to understand the world as a whole; environmentally, socially, economically and physically. At Brigg Primary School, children will have the opportunities to deepen their understanding of concepts, knowledge and skills in both practical and resourceful ways, linking to our locality and on a global scale. Within this we strive for the children to generate an awareness of the significance of their place within our world promoting the self-belief that all children require to pave their own way in it.
